I used iMove to create a video for my future students. In my video, I introduce myself, and share a little bit of information about my life. I have used iMovie in one of my classes previously, but it has been a while. The app has improved so much! I created my video on my phone, and it was a relatively simple process. The biggest challenge I faced was uploading my video to a sharing platform. I had to adjust the “size” of my video a few times, and find a place with better wifi than what I have at home.
This app would be great to use when teaching! It would be fantastic in upper grades, but I could even see using it in my first grade classroom. The children could create book trailers to summarize what they’ve read, they could bring their writings to life, and they could use it to share what they’ve learned. The possibilities are endless.

Hello Brooke! Your video was amazing. You did a fantastic job with editing and how each screen transitioned throughout your movie. It was awesome getting to know you through your video and watch some of your amazing experiences! I also used iMovie and had previously used that resource in a previous class. I struggle with technology but I am learning a lot. Watching your video has inspired me to not give up and to keep trying to better myself in this new world. Hello Brooke, I really enjoyed watching your video and i agree with what you talked about in your blog pots. I have used iMovie during high school and college and i think that it is a great program. I also agree that videos would do very well in upper grades and even in the younger grades.

I loved your video, but I must say your dogs are absolutely precious! I love how you in-cooperated them into your video about your life. Your pictures matched well with your voice over and everything seemed to flow nicely. I have used iMovie with my kindergarten students and they really enjoy it. They seem to be able to maneuver the different tools that the program has and it doesn’t hurt that it is user friendly. You have inspired me to create a video about myself, my family and my dogs to show my next class. What a cool way for your students to get to know you. I enjoyed your post. Keep up the great work!
